Honoring the Service and Legacy of America’s Women Veterans
June 12 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us at The Dayton Woman’s Club as we honor the remarkable contributions of women in the U.S. military at our Women Veterans Day Celebration.
We are proud to welcome guest speaker Abby Auclair, a local Vietnam War veteran and former Army nurse. Abby’s courageous service and powerful story parallel the emotional journey portrayed in Kristin Hannah’s best-selling novel The Women. Her experiences provide an unforgettable perspective on what it meant to serve during one of the most turbulent times in American history.
Let’s gather in gratitude, remembrance, and celebration as we spotlight the strength, service, and legacy of our women veterans.
Special Gift for Women Veterans:
Each attending woman veteran will receive a complimentary copy of Empowered Women: Ohio Women in the Military, written by DWC Vice President Kim Villalva — an insightful and engaging book that explores the powerful impact of women in our nation’s military from the Revolutionary War to today. Books will be available for purchase as well.
