Dayton Metro Library will host The Librarians: A Screening and Community Conversation on Thursday, March 19, 5:30-8 pm, in the Main Library’s Bassani Theater Off Third, 3rd Floor.
This documentary explores the vital role libraries and librarians play in protecting access to information, intellectual freedom, and community connection. Through interviews, real-world challenges, and powerful storytelling, The Librarians shows how libraries remain on the front lines of democracy, education, and civic engagement.
Following the screening, patrons can join members of the Charles F. Kettering Foundation for a conversation about the evolving roles of libraries in today’s social and political landscape.
