Dayton Metro Library will host two programs and an exhibit that showcases the work of Culture Works artist Jennifer Perkins and sculptor Maggie Ross.
Perkins is a 2023 Artist Opportunity Grantee who traveled to Greece and collaborated with Ross, a Naxian sculptor, in a relief sculpture workshop that enhanced her ability to utilize 3D components and traditional methods that advanced her work.
The following programs will both be held on Saturday, January 13, at the Main Library, in Community Room A:
Time Passages-A Collaboration: 11-11:30 am
Perkins will discuss her artistic process and style of creating plaster reliefs. She and Ross will also discuss their work that is showcased in their exhibit, “Time Passages.”
Time Passages-An Interactive Art Experience: 11:45 am-1:45 pm
Patrons will be guided through making their own art relief. Registration is required.
“Time Passages,” the exhibit, will be on display in the 2nd Floor Gallery of the Main Library from Wednesday, January 10 to Wednesday, February 28.
For more information, and to register if required, visit DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call the Library’s Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
