Dayton Metro Library’s next Tiny Stacks session will be a DJ Battle at the Main Library on Saturday, August 13, at 2 pm.
All ages are invited to gather for this ultimate Gem City showdown between DJ contenders DJ Cuest and Erin Cannon, both natives of the Dayton area. The battle will consist of three rounds, each with a different genre: round one, Old School Hip Hop; round two, Early 2000’s Hip Hop; and round three, Present Day Hip Hop.
Tiny Stacks is created by DML, WYSO of Yellow Springs, and the International College of Broadcasting. It is sponsored by Friends of the Dayton Metro Library, with the premise to connect musicians, books, and patrons in one spot. Not only will patrons be able to engage in some of Dayton’s most diverse musical talents, but they will also be able to see the enriching resources DML offers.
This program is also part of DML’s Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary programing. Registration is not required. The Main Library is located at 215 East Third Street, Dayton. Additional information about the Tiny Stacks Music Series and full bios of the DJs can be found at DaytonMetroLibrary.org/TinyStacks. Additional questions may also be directed to the Library’s Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
