Dayton Metro Library continues celebrating the 70th anniversary of historic Civil Rights court case Brown v. Board of Education with a series of commemorative discussions. Unintended Consequences: Local School District Applications will be held on Tuesday, October 8, from 6-7:30 pm in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum.
Unintended Consequences: Local School District Applications will host a panel with guests discussing how Dayton and surrounding area schools have adapted to mandates and challenges, looking at education standards that are in place. Redlining, school district mapping, and other local school applications will also be discussed.
Panel guests include Dr. Christa Preston Agiro – Professor, Teacher Education Culture Studies & Humanities Wright State University; Dr. Rochonda L. Nenonene – Associate Professor Urban Teacher Academy University of Dayton; Dr. Novea McIntosh – Associate Professor Urban Teacher Academy University of Dayton; and Dr. Nancy Arden McHugh- Professor; Executive Director of Fitz Center University of Dayton
DML’s Robert Owens, Racial Equity Manager, will moderate the conversation.
