Dayton Metro Library will host a Workshop for Black Women Filmmakers on Friday, May 16, 4-7 pm, in the Main Library’s Bassani Theater Off Third, 3rd Floor. Registration opens on Tuesday, April 1 – spots are expected to fill up quickly for this unique event.
DML has partnered with the Dayton Black Women’s Film Festival to present this hands-on workshop led by two accomplished Black women filmmakers: Kaliah Ware and Selena Burks-Rentschler.
This interactive workshop will be divided into three key areas of focus: directing, writing, and acting, while providing an inspiring and interactive environment. Participants will be encouraged to engage with each discipline and collaborate with fellow creatives. Ware and Burks-Rentschler will give real-time feedback and share insights from their experience in the industry.
