One of the most cherished holiday traditions in the Dayton area, the Dayton Holiday Festival, presented by Dayton Power and Light, will return in 2020 to celebrate its 48th year, but with some necessary changes for the health and safety of the community. Instead of gathering for a tree lighting and traditional parade, the Grande Illumination will be a televised 30-minute special that will air on WHIO-TV, Channel 7, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27. The next day will feature the Dayton Drive-Thru Children’s Parade in Lights from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28. Details of the events, and other Dayton Holiday Festival activities that will happen throughout the month of December, will be updated on the Dayton Holiday Festival website.
Did you know: YOU could be a part of the Dayton Drive-Thru Children’s Parade in Lights. The parade is looking for submissions from the community of creative, lighted displays to be featured on the parade route. Click here for more details and how to submit your idea.
