Mike Colvin Fast Facts

The Downtown Dayton Partnership is a proud supporter of The Big Hoopla and all events related to the NCAA Men’s Basketball First Four tournament. The event shines a national spotlight on Dayton, and visitors to the region are a boost to the local economy downtown and throughout the region.

In addition to the games, guests can enjoy the Hoopla Four-Miler run/walk race and the Hoopla STEM Challenge, which is a free event for families combining basketball and sports activities with science, technology, engineering, and math.

The Four Miler takes place at the University of Dayton’s River Campus, and the STEM Challenge will be at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School. Both Hoopla events are set for Sunday, March 11; First Four games are March 13 and 14 at UD Arena. There are still volunteer spots available for the Four Miler and STEM Challenge.
