Fast Facts: Downtown Business Leaders Use OPEN* to Support Fellow Businesses

Mike ColvinFast Facts

The owners of downtown business TriComB2B recently announced that they were inspired by the OPEN* Downtown campaign to ask their employees to make every Thursday a special day to get dinner from local restaurants. They mailed each employee a $25 gift card to get them started, and their employees have gotten excited about the effort; sharing their meals on social media with the hashtag #DaytonIsOpen (you can use #DaytonIsOpen on your posts, too!).

“This is Dayton, and we’re Dayton businesses,” TriComB2B principals John Buscemi and Chris Eifert said. “That comes with a little roll up your sleeves, help each other out attitude and responsibility. So, while we’re sheltering in place, let’s remember we’re all still part of a community that buys and supports local.”

TriComB2B’s owners have challenged other businesses and fellow Daytonians to follow their lead and support local businesses. You can view their announcement here.
