Three downtown businesses have received state and national recognition recently.

Project 444 – the collaboration office space that’s shared with the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Wright Brothers Institute, http://track.downtowndayton.org/y.z?l=https%3a%2f%2fwww.facebook.com%2ftecdayton%2f%3ffref%3dpb%26amp%3bhc_location%3dprofile_browser&j=324681085&e=4435&p=1&t=h& and Nucleus – was recognized as one of six “Innovators” at the Association of Defense Communities’ Installation Innovation conference. Located at 444 E. Second St., the space offers opportunities for military and civilian projects to collide, opening doors on research and commercialization.

Square One Salon and Spa took accolades for five of the 11 categories in Salon Today‘s 2018 Salon Today 200 competition: philanthropy, culture, compensation, employee benefits, and outstanding salon growth. First opened in the Cannery building in 1999, Square One Salon and Spa has grown to 200 employees serving customers at six locations in the Dayton area and Columbus.

Twist Cupcakery, 25 S. St. Clair St., is the Ohio Business Profile program‘s featured business of the month for February. Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted selected the Pop-Up Shop graduate for its attention to detail and customer service.
