Front Street announced its most successful quarter in its history, with more than $100,000 in artwork sold. The three-warehouse complex at 1001 E. Second St. is home to more than 100 artists and artisans. Front Street hosts events that open the building to the public. Third Sundays coming up this weekend (July 21), and events like First Fridays see hundreds of people exploring the galleries. According to a statement from Front Street officials, the First Friday held in May alone sold over $75,000. Front Street artists are participating in the upcoming Art in the City event, a free festival celebrating visual and performing arts and culture in downtown Dayton. Art in the City takes place from 5-9 p.m. Friday, August 2. Learn more about the festival on the website.
