Oregon District Launches Free Public WiFi with Cincinnati Bell

Mike ColvinDowntown Progress, Fast Facts

The Oregon District Business Association has officially opened access to free, public WiFi as part of a partnership with Cincinnati Bell’s Smart City solutions in the Dayton area. Over the past several months, the Smart City solutions have installed high-speed fiber cables to provide free public WiFi extending across Fifth Street from Wayne Avenue to Patterson Boulevard at no cost to the Oregon District businesses. This public WiFi is not only a benefit to visitors in the district, but the analytics and engagement software will support the small businesses in the district, helping them to better understand customer trends and track event attendance with the innovative analytics. Visitors to the Oregon District can access the free WiFi network while they dine, drink, shop, and explore downtown Dayton.
