Both a bar and a coffee house that will feature a wine selection have announced plans to open near the Fire Blocks District of downtown Dayton in the coming months.
Third Perk Coffeehouse will re-open in a new downtown location at 146 E. Third St. and will offer a selection of drinks and menu items including sandwiches and soups. The coffee shop and wine bar closed its West Fifth Street location earlier this year after the owner told the Dayton Daily News she underwent surgery and took time to “re-tool and refocus” during the covid shutdown. The business is currently working on building out its new location and plans to open in the coming months.
Construction is also underway on the location for a new bar, Bozack’s Lounge, at 142 E. Third Street, and the Dayton Daily news reported that owners for the establishment have applied for a liquor license. This stretch of East Third Street within the Fire Blocks District recently opened leasing on new loft apartments, and welcomed the bakery and lunch spot Salt Block Biscuit Company. Also coming soon to the Fire Blocks are the restaurant and bar, Jollity, and the bar, Two Social, which will feature indoor axe throwing.
