Fast Facts: Woodard to Convert Downtown Building into “The Manhattan”

Woodard Development, the developers behind several recent downtown projects, recently announced plans to revitalize another downtown building. 601 E. Third Street, a building known as the J.K. McIntire building, is being rebranded as “The Manhattan” – a nod to The Manhattan Project, which used three floors of the building for The Dayton Project in the 1940s. Woodard plans to make The Manhattan into a technology hub, and already has secured two tenants for the building – software development company Mile Two and military technology firm Battle Sight Technologies. Plans for the 55,000-square-foot building also include first floor retail space.
