The popular event showcasing downtown housing options and amenities returns Saturday, May 30.

May 20, 2026 (DAYTON, Ohio) – Downtown Dayton has the highest occupancy rate in the region, and you’re invited to see why! The Downtown Dayton Partnership (DDP) is excited to announce the return of its popular Downtown Housing Tour. The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.

“More and more people are choosing to live in downtown Dayton. Downtown’s culture and strong sense of community combined with a unique housing inventory have created incredible demand,” said Laura Woeste, Interim President of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. “The Downtown Housing Tour makes it easy for future residents to see a snapshot of the growing housing options, independent retailers, delicious food and drink options, and wide variety of amenities that downtown has to offer, all in one visit.”

The tour is a self-guided, open-house style event. Guests can start their tour at any of the participating locations and visit as many of the others as they like in any order they choose from there. Event brochures with a list and map of this year’s featured locations and more information will be available at each of the participating locations and at select businesses (to be listed on the website) on the day of the event, but a PDF version of can be viewed and downloaded now on the Downtown Dayton Partnership website.

The tour is best experienced on foot, with participating locations roughly a 5- to 10-minute walk apart. Guests are encouraged to park in one of the more than 13,000 parking spaces downtown. Metered street parking spaces are free on weekends. Most of downtown is also a DORA district, so attendees can grab a beverage to go to enjoy between stops.

In addition to the housing tour options, two supplemental guided walking tours will be offered. Enjoy a bonus “Ghost Tour” or “Photo Walking Tour” of downtown. More information about these guided tours and registration for them is available on the Downtown Housing Tour webpage.

The Downtown Housing Tour is a program of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. Additional support for this event is provided by CenterPoint Energy, Key-Ads,  and the Dayton Daily News.
