Immersive Music Boxes Make a Stop in Dayton

Mike ColvinFast Facts

A set of interactive, musical artworks will have a home in Downtown Dayton throughout August. The LeMonde Studio “Harmonies” installations will make their Dayton debut this weekend during Art in the City. Each of the four larger-than-life music boxes features a crank that visitors can turn to play music provided by local musicians, Frank Calzada, Viva La Strings, Dayton Philharmonic’s Leslie Stratton, and The Shady Pine. Visitors are encouraged to find and interact with the installations at Courthouse Square, the Dayton Convention Center, Levitt Pavilion, and the Oregon District through August.

Special thanks to presenting sponsor PNC, and supporting sponsors, the Bob Ross Auto Group, Grunder Landscaping Co., and WYSO Public Radio for helping bring these installations to Dayton.
