Two brand-new apartment buildings and a hotel are all expected to open downtown in just a matter of weeks. The Monument, The Sutton, and the AC Hotel by Marriott all will be located in the Water Street District. Crawford Hoying and Woodard Development are the main developers behind the Water Street District, which already features more than 500 apartments and more than 90 hotel rooms.
The Sutton is in the final stages of construction now at the corner of North Patterson Boulevard and East First Street. The building features 71 units and is expected to open in late February. Just a few blocks away on Monument Avenue across from RiverScape MetroPark, the Monument is expected to open in mid-March. That building will feature 124 units along with a fitness center, courtyard, and covered parking. The AC Hotel by Marriott on Madison Street across from Day Air Ball Park is also expected to open in the middle of next month. The hotel’s rooftop bar and restaurant, the Foundry, is expected to open later this spring.
