Tell us a bit about yourself and your business.

We’re Mary & Bob Baldino, the owners of Connect E-Sports. We met post college, where we were both active members in the young professionals group Generation Dayton. We now live in Kettering with a cat and a big goofy dog. Both of us shared the vision of building something from the ground up for the Dayton community, and our mutual interest of gaming allowed for Connect to be born. Connect E-Sports is a place where people can Connect both online and IRL (in real life). There are opportunities for all skill levels from those interested in gaming, to expert esports players.

We officially opened our doors in November of 2020. Mary grew up with an entrepreneurial father who instilled the spirit of building up your community in her, which led us to open our own small business.

What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?

We enjoy how close everything and everyone is. It is a tight-knit community that is open to helping out other people any way they can.

We’re excited to expand esports in the Dayton area!

Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.

We offer a complete At Home Application that allows gamers to compete in global competitions for cash prizes completely from their home.

They can download the app from our website: https://connectesports.com/events/your-virtual-gaming-center/

How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?

We have shifted to our leagues and tournaments to be played online from your home as well as reducing our hours to the weekends.

People can support us by participating in online leagues and tournaments, purchasing a gift card, or just telling a friend about us.
