OPEN* Business Spotlight: Hall’s Jewelers

Tell us a bit about yourself and your business. What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?

My name is Larry Hall. Born at Good Samaritan Hospital, I was born and raised here in Dayton, Ohio. I’ve been operating my business for 34 years as of August 18, 2020. We opened Hall’s Jewelers because we wanted to bring value and quality to our customers. The business was originally located in Sugar Creek Township and I made the move to Downtown four years ago. Hall’s Jewelers is a full service jewelry store located in the lobby of the Premier Health Building in Downtown.

What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?

I love downtown! It’s awesome here! The revitalization going on in the city is so important to me and to our business.

Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.

Our products are very, very high quality and low priced. We do this by keeping the focus on advertising low so we’re not spending the customers’ money. This in return helps to keep the prices down.

How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?

Since the pandemic has begun, business has been affected drastically. Due to amount of individuals who work remotely and no longer come into the building, the foot traffic has decreased significantly for Hall’s Jewelers. The loyal customers, however, have been providing support for our small business. We accept that business is down for everyone and we understand it. The best way people can show support for the business right now is simply to do business with us. Most of all we wish for everyone to be safe and healthy during these uncertain times.
