OPEN* Business Spotlight: Reza’s Downtown

Mike ColvinDowntown Event

Tell us a bit about yourself and your business. What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?

Reza’s is a coffee roasterie and cafe. We opened downtown in June 2019. But we have been roasting coffee since 2015. We opened downtown because we wanted to be centrally located and fell in love with the building we are housed in. We started roasting because we couldn’t find quality freshly roasted coffee in Dayton.

What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?

We love our customers!

Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.

We roast our coffee fresh each week on site. You can watch us roast from inside the cafe. All of the beans come from farms we have traveled to.

You can rent out our parlor room for your meetings. Check availability and reserve directly on our website www.RezasRoast.com

How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?

We are actually doing OK because people are at home brewing their own coffee using the beans we roast. Although we miss story time and all of the meetings everyone used to have at the cafe. The best way to help is to buy your coffee beans from us. We sell at the cafe, on our website and at Dorothy Lane Market.
