The owners of Base Camp Outdoors Co. are preparing to move their home and online business to a downtown storefront. The brick-and-mortar shop will open later this year in a 5,700-square-foot location at 420 E. First St., next to Moeller Brew Barn and across from Day Air Ballpark. Base Camp Outdoors Co. launched as an online business in 2022 with a mission to help the community “engage more consciously with nature.” The business sells a variety of outdoor gear and accessories for camping, hiking, sports, and more. Owners Clair and Brycen Cross say they’re excited to continue their story downtown.
“Investing back into the Dayton community, embracing the city’s rich history, and providing quality, high-level experiences make Water Street District the perfect spot for our next big adventure,” Brycen tells the Dayton Daily News.
