Two contests have returned to downtown as part of the 50th Dayton Holiday Festival Family Fun Days, presented by AES Ohio. Whimsical Windows and the Elf Hunt are on now at businesses around downtown Dayton through December 30. More than 20 local businesses have decorated their storefront windows to spread the holiday spirit and compete in this friendly competition. The business that receives the most votes from the public by noon on December 30 will receive a $500 cash prize. All participants and voting can be found now at Dayton.com.
Downtown Dollars are on the line for visitors and residents in the Elf Hunt! Spot the elf hidden in the windows of downtown businesses for the chance to win $100 in Downtown Dollars. Hopeful hunters can text their photos of or with each elf to 937-668-7227 or tag @DowntownDayton and #DaytonElfie on social media. Each photo featuring a different elf will count as one entry. A winner will be drawn each week in December to win $100 in Downtown Dollars. A map of participating businesses can be found at daytonholidayfestival.org.
