Tell us a bit about yourself and your business. What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?
My name is Kia Wilson. I started home bakery in February 2015. My life’s mission is to be a reflection of God’s unconditional love. What better location than to be in the heart of the city? We specialize in one of a kind gourmet desserts & treats. Nothing but positive vibes & D.O.P.E desserts (Delicious On Purpose Every-time).
Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.
The first cake I have ever made was my daughter’s first birthday cake 16 years ago. It was a Care Bear. I instantly feel in love with baking. I had a dream to open a bakery and even after all these years, it has finally come true!
How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?
I’m not open yet, but I truly believe people love to eat, especially sweets and comfort treats. Good vibes is what people need right now to get them through the difficult times the world is facing!
