A favorite local cafe is adding new items and extending its hours for the summer season. This summer, the RiverScape Cafe, located at 111 E. Monument Avenue, will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with happy hour specials from 5 to 7 p.m. RiverScape management says that afternoon crowds are not as heavy as they were pre-COVID, so a shift to evening hours makes sense for the cafe. The shift to later hours also provides the opportunity for the RiverScape Cafe to offer an elevated menu including a variety of flatbread pizzas, appetizers, and desserts. RiverScape also now offers a variety of summer cocktails, beer, and wine, as Five Rivers MetroParks was issues a permanent alcohol permit.
The Fountain Snack Bar will still offer the familiar concession-type items previously offered at the cafe from noon until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
