Sinclair Partnership Hopes to Strengthen Manufacturing Workforce

Mike ColvinFast Facts

Sinclair College has teamed up with a local corporation to help students earn on-the-job manufacturing experience while earning college credit. The partnership with Festo Corp. will allow participating students to earn 20 credit hours toward a Sinclair Automation and Control Technology with Robotics Associate of Applied Science degree. Once the Festo Mecathronics Apprenticeship Program is complete, students will only need 40 more credit hours to earn their degree. Sinclair leaders say credits earned during the 57-week program will help reduce tuition cost of the degree by 30%.
