Study Shows Importance of Local Arts & Culture Organizations

Mike Colvin Fast Facts

According to findings from the recent Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 study conducted by Americans for the Arts, art is making a major impact on the Dayton region. The study was conducted from 2022 to early 2023 and findings were shared late last month by Culture Works. Findings from the study show that $239M of economic activity across four local counties stemmed from investment into arts and culture. Additionally, the study found that a third of survey respondents travel from outside of their zip code to attend arts events in the Dayton region. Once here, those guests spent an average of $38.46 per person per event, in addition to the ticket price. A full breakdown of the study is available on Culture Works’ website.
