Two Social Bar in the Fire Blocks to Open This Week

Two Social, a new bar and game lounge in downtown Dayton, opens this Friday, Sept. 10, at 123 E. Third Street in the Fire Blocks District. Owners Kelsey Calderone and Nathan Omlor are opening the local hangout, which features a full service bar along with such activities as axe throwing, bocce ball, a video game center, and televisions to enjoy sporting events and other entertainment. Calderone says the idea for the bar stemmed from the adult sport league, Gem City Social Sports, the pair founded several years ago. They envisioned a bar and gaming space in downtown Dayton to have the same energy that allows people to gather together for camaraderie and to enjoy activities together. Customers can reserve a time slot for axe throwing at Two Social on the business’ website. Two Social is partnering with other Fire Blocks businesses, including the restaurant Salt Block Biscuit Company, to provide food delivery for patrons who are enjoying drinks and games at the bar. Hours of operation at Two Social following the grand opening this Friday will be: Monday: 4-10 p.m.; Closed Tuesday; Wednesday: 4-10 p.m. (with no axe throwing); Thursday: 4-10 p.m.; Friday 4 p.m. to midnight; Saturday: noon to midnight; and Sunday: noon to 6 p.m. A ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of this new downtown business will be held Friday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 p.m.
