The 130 Building, at 130 W. Second St. in downtown Dayton, was designated as a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) project by the Dayton City Commission, meaning the building owners will have access to program-related assessments to help finance energy efficiency improvements at the tower. The PACE project proposal included $2.5M in investment plans to improve energy efficiency with upgrades to LED lighting and window tinting, along with the replacement of cooling systems and air handling controls. Brian Lash bought the 21-story, 323,000-square-foot office tower in 2018. The 130 Building features co-working space with modern suites, flexible meeting and conference room settings, and workplace amenities such as a recreation center, gym and coffee shop. Lash told the Dayton Business Journal that his latest investment builds on millions of dollars in improvements they have already made to the 130 Building.
