The 6888 Kitchen Incubator plans to celebrate its grand opening this week with a ceremony at the Dayton Arcade. The second phase of the project, located in the Arcade at 40 S. Ludlow St., will provide commercial kitchen space for local food- and beverage-based small businesses while providing business owners with training, support, and other essential resources. Additionally, the site will house two event spaces and an open-plan market with multiple vendors. The project’s first phase, “Sharpen the Axe,” is an education program related to running a successful food business and is currently in its fourth cohort. The 6888 Kitchen Incubator was founded by three local entrepreneurs, Charlynda Scales, Dabriah Rice, and Jamaica White. Applications and more information about the 6888 Kitchen Incubator are available on the project’s website.
