Texas-based Thrive Mortgage recently expanded into the Dayton area with the opening of its new downtown location in The Walker Building at 14 W. First St., along with a second location in Troy. Thrive is an independent mortgage banker that specializes in construction lending, residential loans, and reverse mortgages. Its permanent, 5,800-square-foot office space on the building’s second floor is expected to be ready by early December. In the meantime, Thrive is operating out of temporary first floor space. The downtown location will initially have 11 employees, but has space for up to 20. Officials from the firm cited downtown’s central location and revitalization as reasons for locating here.
