A new wine bar and bottle shop has officially opened its doors in the Fire Blocks District. Joui Wine at 117 E. Third St. hosted its grand opening event earlier this month. Joui features a retail section of wines varying in price, a rotating wine and cocktail menu, and several small bites. Lauren Gay, owner of Joui Wine, tells Dayton.com that she hopes to eventually host pop-ups, private events, and dance parties in the space. Wine lovers are also invited to join “The Dose,” a themed monthly wine club. Joui Wine is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
