Downtown’s relationship with the defense sector continues to grow. The Great Lakes Mission Acceleration Center is now open at The Hub at the Dayton Arcade. According to the Dayton Daily News, the center is funded by the Defense Innovation Unit and the National Security Innovation Network for one year, but funding is expected to be extended. The Great Lakes Mission Acceleration Center is intended to be a meeting place for defense specialists from around the region to work on Department of Defense technology problems in order to expedite solutions. Ohio is one of five states nationwide chosen to open a “mission acceleration center.”
